A Christmas Carol

Well, I'm late on posting this, but a few months back I had the pleasure of illustrating Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" for FarFaria. It was a great opportunity to spread my wings and really come at the project with a different end result in mind. Actually, before even beginning any work, I had initially envisioned something very organic, dark and almost entirely devoid of color. But, owing to extremely tight deadlines, I unfortunately had to fall back on certain tried and true habits I've developed over the years. Not to say I don't like the finished product (because I do) but, it's funny how the story can take a life of it's own and seemingly steer it's own heading.

The Camel's Shadow

A few weeks back a story I illustrated was released for the Far Faria app. It's titled the Camel's Shadow. Here's a summary:

SCBWI

Today I found out I was lucky enough to have been chosen as SCBWI's (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) Illustrator of the month. It was a pleasant surprise and I'm extremely honored to have been picked. Voltron

Here is my submission to the official Voltron: United and Drawn book. I did this about 7 or 8 months ago.

But growing up this show had a major impact on my life. I think it must have been the most badass thing I'd ever seen up until that age. I mean, Robots that are also Lions, piloted by peeps that form an even bigger robot! On top of that, they're out to save the Universe from the evil King Zarkon! I mean what's not to love?!
