I've been doing these "surf portraits" and I've been mainly concentrating on real close up shots. I decided to pull out and show a bit more of the scenery that might appear in a location like this. I like the result but it allows me to further appreciate the real tight shots even more. They bring you into the action where you can feel the power of the wave. This doesn't have that front row observation to it.
